AN INSTALLATION

In January 2016, ODDJOINT created an installation project based on the popular character of Taranath Tantrik. This personage created by Bibhutibhushan Bandyopadhyay in early 1900s was later, in the 70s, carried forward by his son Taradas Bandyopadhyay. The installation was named Taranath Tantrik’s Passing Show, after the brand of cigarettes the tantrik smoked,

The Tankrik’s home was opened to visitors for 5 days, causing a minor sensation with it’s moody, bizarre beauty.
