SYNOPSIS

Nabarun Bhattacharya is an exclamation mark in Bengali literature. Q's film Nabarun bounces between pure documentary and fiction. It’s an exploration of the life, work, sensibility and language of the infamous magic realist. His characters hustle and grind against society, or are weird outsiders in a hostile world. The film attempts to enter the noisy, grimy, scratchy and surreal insides of Nabarun’s mind in a heady tripped up mix of graphic art and text-play.
